For years, high school seniors have celebrated the first day of their final year by wearing Burger King crowns. In Miami-Dade County, that tradition became even more meaningful this year.
Through a partnership with Miami-Dade County Public Schools, the Burger King Foundation provided commemorative Seniors Rule crowns to approximately 20,000 high school seniors across the district’s Class of 2027.
The crowns celebrated everything these students had already accomplished—and everything still ahead. They also connected students to resources that could support their next steps, including the Burger King Scholars program, which provides scholarships of up to $60,000 to help students pursue their educational goals.
To bring the celebration to life, the Burger King Foundation also hosted a Seniors Rule activation near Miami Senior High School. Students enjoyed music, games, giveaways, photos and plenty of Burger King spirit as they celebrated the beginning of their final year together. Students who received a crown could also redeem an exclusive buy-one-get-one Double Cheeseburger offer at participating Burger King restaurants in Miami-Dade County through the end of August.
More than a crown, Seniors Rule was a reminder that traditions can create a sense of belonging—and that students deserve to feel celebrated, supported and encouraged as they take their next steps.
The Class of 2027 wore their crowns with pride, marked an important milestone and began their senior year knowing their community was cheering them on.
